At JobScout AI (an RB Tech Solution), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explicitly outlines how we handle the data collected by our web platform and our Chrome Extension in compliance with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

1. Data Collection

We collect information strictly necessary to provide our services:

  • Account Data: Your email address when you create an account.
  • User-Provided Data: The contents of your CV/resume (employment history, skills, education) that you upload or input into our platform.
  • Extension Data: When you actively click and use the JobScout AI Chrome Extension on supported job boards (e.g., LinkedIn), the extension reads the active webpage‘s DOM to extract the Job Title, Company Name, and Job Description.

2. Data Handling

The data we collect is handled and processed exclusively to deliver our core functionality to you. This includes tailoring your CV to match specific job requirements, generating customized cover letters, auto-drafting answers for job application forms, and populating your personal application tracking dashboard. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. Data Storage

Your account information, synced CV context, and job application tracking history are stored securely in our managed cloud database (Supabase). We employ strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies and authentication checks, ensuring that your personal data is encrypted in transit and can only be accessed by you via your securely authenticated session.

4. Data Sharing & AI Processing

To power our intelligent features, JobScout AI temporarily transmits your CV context and the scraped job descriptions to Google's Gemini AI via our secure backend API. This data is shared strictly for the purpose of generating your tailored career documents.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers. Furthermore, your data is not retained by our AI providers to train foundational AI models.
